sit wherever you damn please

A little note about the name of this blog. "Sit wherever you damn please" is what was written on the place cards at Caroline and Devon's wedding. A childhood friend posted an image of the cards on Caroline's Facebook page recently. I had completely forgotten they even existed.

Here are images of one of the cards. Like most of the things in Caroline's and Devon's life the cards reflect their un-pretentious playfulness, all the while maintaining a great sense style.

These cards get me thinking about Gwenyth Paltrow's Goop line of stationary for Paperless Post. After looking at these cards I have to wonder if Goop lives up to its "refinement with a streak of rebellion" motto. Perhaps Goop's designers could take a page from Caroline.

Carolines Birthday

Today was Caroline's birthday.  I am starting this blog as a place for her friends and loved ones to  celebrate her memory.

I hope that in the months and years to come this will be full of helpful tips, hints, wisdoms, recipes, smoothies, halloween costumes, car seats and much much more that others will find useful.  But please no glitter.
If you would like to contribute, please contact me.

Our first post comes from Caroline's old friend Sarah Miller:

Caroline sent me this recipe when Jay and I got married.  I make this bread often and think of her.
